Music allows communication without the use of language. Therefore, there are many attempts to create connections beyond age and language difference using music in educational settings or corporate team-building. Communication issues are commonly seen in special needs schools, while it is difficult to introduce music to students with developmental disabilities using conventional methods. Therefore, PULStoNE has been developed to facilitate group communication in special-needs schools by sharing multi-sensory experience such as sound, vibration and light, etc.. PULStoNE enables students to become aware of their calls to action and to communicate while being aware of others. PULStoNE has the potential to solve communication problems.
音楽は言語を用いずにコミュニケーションを可能にする側面をもち，実際に教育現場や企業のチームビルディングなどで音楽を用いて年齢や言語などの垣根を超えた繋がりを生む取り組みが行われている．特別支援学校にはさまざまなコミュニケーション課題が生まれているが，発達障害などがある生徒に対して従来の方法で音楽を導入するのは難しい．そこで，音や振動，光など複数の感覚を共有することで特別支援学校における集団でのコミュニケーションを促すことができる「 PULStoNE」 を開発した．PULStoNE を使うと生徒が自分への呼びかけに気付ける，相手を意識しながら発信できるようになるなど，コミュニケーション課題を解決できる可能性がある．
