FEEL TECH petit is a sensory-sharing device designed to create new forms of communication between performers and audiences.
The system transforms information derived from a performer’s heart rate and body movements into haptic data and broadcasts it to multiple audience members using Bluetooth Auracast. Through FEEL TECH petit, audiences can physically feel information about the performer that has conventionally been conveyed primarily through visual and auditory channels.
Through this haptic-sharing experience, the project explores new ways for audiences to physically experience a connection with performers while also fostering a sense of unity and engagement across the audience.
FEEL TECH petitは、演者と観客の新たなコミュニケーションを目指した感覚共有デバイスです。
演者の心拍や身体の動きから得られる情報を触覚データに変換し、Bluetooth Auracastを用いたブロードキャスト通信によって複数の観客へ伝送します。観客はFEEL TECH petitを通して、これまで主に視覚や聴覚で受け取っていた演者の情報を「触覚」として感じることができます。
本プロジェクトでは、こうした触覚共有を通して、観客が演者とのつながりを身体感覚として実感すると同時に、観客全体の一体感やエンゲージメントを生み出す新たな体験の可能性を探ります。
